Advice and answers from the Fluid Financial Team

In order to work with Fluid, your customers have the option to pay your invoices through our Payment Portal or by other remittance methods. In the latter case, you must update your customers with your Fluid account payment remittance information. Your Fluid payment information can be found on the Fluid Dashboard on the Your Profile tab, on your Fluid Dashboard. As long as they send a check or ACH, customers can continue making payments in your name.

By Credit Card

Credit Cards are only available through the opt-in Payment Portal that your customers can access when sending invoices through the Fluid dashboard and activating the Send Payment Portal option. A 3.8% processing fee is added to the invoice total when choosing this payment method.

By Check

To pay by check, your customer must mail the check to your Fluid lockbox. Your Fluid lockbox is a PO Box that allows you to receive checks in your business name to your Fluid account. You'll receive an email with your Fluid lockbox address once you are approved. Your Fluid lockbox address can be found on the Your Profile page of the Account Information tab, on your Fluid dashboard.

By ACH

If your customer sends you an ACH payment form to complete before updating the payment information, it might require some additional information. Usually, these forms require the bank name and address, in addition to the routing and account number. Your ACH payment info can be found on the Your Profile page of the Account Information tab, on your Fluid dashboard.


By Wire

Generally speaking, your customers can make payment to your Fluid account by Check or ACH. If your customer wishes to pay by Wire, they must use special wire instructions as detailed below.
